Hello,
I know it has been a while since we last chatted. My inbox has still been filled with updates from all of the other creators I followed and backed during Pintopia, so I tried to not overwhelm you with unnecessary messages for this reason.
Since the end of the campaign, I have been building the survey and pre-order store. The learning curve has been tough with the multiple migraine days I have had since the campaign ended. The old brain isn't what she used to be...Such is life.

I have finished the survey! In the next couple of days Backer Kit will send out "smoke test" surveys to about 5% of backers, just to make sure there are no issues that we have missed. After that, everyone else will receive the survey. This is how you will choose your pins and add-ons.  You will also vote for the animal conservation organization that will receive the donation.  You will get an email announcing that surveys have been sent and a reminder in a week or so. You will have 2 weeks to fill them out and return (electronically).  I need them ASAP so I know how many of each item to order. 

There is a new incentive for you. I am ordering cute acrylic pins of the black/white/turquoise poison dart frog. They will be free for anyone with at least $25 in add-on purchases. This includes add-ons during the campaign and from the survey. If at least 20 people qualify for this bonus, I will have the pins made with metal and enamel.

At the same time we send out smoke tests, the pre-order store will open. This is for anyone that could not pledge during the Pintopia campaign. Here is your second chance.  Referral bonus: Tell your friends about it. Let me know you shared my pre-order store.  I will add a free item your order, if that friend places an order. Hello again!
Now that the campaign is finished, I will be building the survey over the next couple of weeks. I haven't done this before so it will take a me a little bit of time. I plan to send them out to you in 2 weeks. In the survey, there will be a few questions, and this is also when you get to choose your pins and add on items like stickers and acrylic charms. You will also vote on the donation to an animal conservation organization. I plan to add some of my handmade items from both my Etsy shop and stuff I have made specifically for the campaign (pin banners). Watch for that email!

I will also keep you informed of any issues and updates over the next few months.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe this is real. This is very exciting for me as this is my first successful project. We are on the home stretch now with 2 and 1/2 days left. We have funded a total of 15 pins.  I am told the last 48 hours usually is a little bump in the pledge totals. Anything else we raise will go straight to the net proceeds total.  Will you help spread the word so we can maximize our donation the animal conservation fund?

I want to introduce the final pin design. This one is the special request pin by Lilia. She pledged for the creator level.  She is going to get a bunch of these and all the other pins plus a custom pin banner.  The pin will be available for purchase in the add-on section of the survey. This pin is 5 cm wide, silver plated metal with soft enamel, clear epoxy and screen printed details. 


These cute swimming African Penguins are also known as Jackass Penguin and Black-footed Penguin. Globally, the African penguin population has crashed by more than 80% in just over 50 years and the species is now listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
